Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how 42Ten Media LLC ("42Ten Media," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use CueKit. CueKit is a product of 42Ten Media LLC.

1. Information We Collect

Account and workspace information

We may collect your name, email address, authentication information handled through our authentication provider, organization or workspace details, and information about team memberships and roles. Workspace owners and administrators control who they invite and the access assigned to those users.

Event and operational information

Customers may enter or upload event details, programs and schedules, run-of-show information, speaker and presenter information, rooms and locations, production information, staff assignments, deadlines, notes, files, documents, and other event operational information. Customers control the information they enter into their CueKit workspaces.

Speaker portal information

Event organizers may use CueKit to request information from speakers or presenters through a private link. Depending on the organizer's configuration, this may include a name, contact information, biography, headshot, presentation details, session information, uploaded files, and other requested speaker information. We process this information on behalf of the organization operating the event.

Billing information

Stripe processes payments for paid CueKit subscriptions. CueKit does not need to store complete payment-card numbers. We may retain subscription and transaction information, plan and billing status, billing intervals and dates, and Stripe-related identifiers needed to create, manage, and support subscriptions.

Automatically collected information

When you use CueKit, we and the service providers that operate it may receive technical and operational information, such as IP address, browser and device information, session and login information, activity records, error logs, and security information. CueKit uses essential browser storage for authentication, workspace selection, and interface preferences, plus a functional cookie that remembers the sidebar state. CueKit does not use this information for third-party advertising.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and operate CueKit;
• Authenticate users and manage accounts, workspaces, memberships, and permissions;
• Save, organize, display, and share event information as directed by customers;
• Support speaker and presenter collection workflows;
• Process and manage paid subscriptions;
• Send account, invitation, speaker, billing, security, and other service communications;
• Provide customer support and respond to requests;
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, investigate problems, and troubleshoot errors;
• Improve CueKit's reliability and functionality; and
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Service Providers

We use service providers to help operate CueKit. These providers may support cloud hosting and databases, authentication, payment processing, transactional email delivery, error monitoring and security, and file storage. Stripe processes payments and provides subscription-management services. Providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us and are subject to contractual obligations or their own terms and privacy practices.

4. Customer and Event Data

Customers retain ownership of the event content and operational information they enter or upload to CueKit. Customers grant 42Ten Media only the rights necessary to host, store, process, transmit, back up, display, and otherwise handle that content to provide, secure, and support CueKit and comply with law. We do not claim ownership of customer event data.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell customer personal information. We may share information:

• With service providers that help us operate CueKit;
• With authorized users of the applicable workspace, according to their assigned access;
• With authorized 42Ten Media personnel when needed for support, security, administration, or service operations;
• With event participants when a customer intentionally publishes, sends, or shares information with them;
• With legal authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security; or
• With a successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale of the business or relevant assets.

Private workspace information is not made public merely because it is stored in CueKit.

6. Data Retention

We retain information while an account or workspace is active and as needed to provide CueKit. We may also retain information for legitimate business, security, fraud-prevention, billing, dispute-resolution, backup, and legal purposes. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the relationship with the customer, and applicable obligations. Backup copies may remain for a limited period after information is removed from active systems.

7. Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by emailing legal@42ten.media. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Because workspace and event data often belongs to the organization operating the workspace, requests involving that data may need to be directed to or approved by the workspace owner or organization. An individual team member cannot require deletion of an organization's entire workspace solely through an individual request.

Workspace deletion is not currently self-service. Workspace owners may contact us to request account or workspace deletion. Some information may be retained as described in the Data Retention section.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These include access controls, role-based permissions, private storage protections, and limited-duration links for protected files where appropriate. No online service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting their credentials and private access links.

9. International Users

CueKit may be used outside the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from those where you live. International users may submit privacy requests using the contact information below.

10. Children

CueKit is a professional event-operations service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the request.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to CueKit, our practices, or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy here and revise the Last Updated date. When appropriate, we may provide additional notice through CueKit or by email.
